The best opportunity to experience a country and its people!

Unique combination of an intensive Spanish language course (beginner or advanced) of 4 weeks duration and the following placement at an agricultural enterprise, a farm, horse farm, horse club, ranch, plantation, estancia, tourist farm etc. for another 4-8 weeks duration.
The participant will live on the farm at the countryside and will be hosted by the farmers´ family.

The countrylife in South America often is quite different from the big cities. Traditions and old habits have been conserved at the countryside, which have slowly been lost in the modern cities. The combination of city (language course) + countryside (farmstay) is a good opportunity to know about both sides. That´s why Pasantias Argentinas offers farmstays for every interested person.
The farmstay will be organised individually corresponding your preconditions and preferences. Through the numerours contacts to agricultural enterprises, farms, estancias etc within Argentina we guarantee every participant the placement on a suitable farm!


Duration of the preliminery Spanish language course
At least 4 weeks.


Duration of the following farmstay: 4 - 8 weeks.


Language skill requirements
No Spanish language skills are required because a minimum of 4 weeks intensive Spanish tuition on location has to be attended to participate at the farmstay program.


Farmstay placement fee
Pasantias Argentinas will only charge a low farmstay placement fees. We like to promote Argentina to European and North American participants and support this by long term stays (internships, farmstays). We know exactly what "impact" is caused to the participant by experiencing the foreign culture. But also a long term stay has to be affordable for young participants. That´s why we do not charge high placement fees.

Unfortunately in Argentina no farm will host a foreign tourist for free. Also if you help with your work at the farm we have to pay the farm about Euro 500,- per month for accommodation and boarding.

If you prefer to stay in Córdoba city and go working at a nearby riding club or horse center, you will not stay at the premises of the horse club. You will be accommodated in one of the volunteer houses or host families and commute every day to the horse project. In this case no farm has to be paid. You only pay the accommodation at the volunteer house or host family.


Application procedure, documents and deadlines

We will contact you and will determine the definite data of your stay. Also we will inform you about all necessary travel arragements.
We only need the following documents:
a) A CV (Word - file)
b) Digital or scanned photograph (jpg-Format)
c) Copy of your passport (scanned)


Application deadlines
You should apply at least 4 weeks in advance, because you also have to book a suitable flight to Argentina, we have to arrange your accommodation and we have to coordinate your arrival and airport pickup. Of course: the earlier you apply the better!
